Another Sunday and another lesson in leadership.

Congrats to Bret Michaels for being not only on this week's winning Apprentice team, but also being the winning project manager, as well as taking a risk during the task by putting some semi-crude humor into a commercial. Even after a couple of stuffy execs flat out said humor was not welcome.

Even better; Sharon Osborne who I am pulling to be in the finale; will make it another week. The winner of course is Bret's charity and is even more important considering his current health issues. I wish him the best of luck.

The final three in the board room ended up being the loosing project manager, Summer Sanders, Cyndi Lauper, and Curtis Stone. Trump almost immediately sent Cyndi back to the ready room after advising her that as long as she didn't say anything stupid she was safe...then said just go your free. Lesson one tonight, if Trump likes you he will give you a life line to save himself from himself. It would have been embarrassing if he ended up firing her just because she wanted to talk about Ben Franklin in a bathtub full of women (you have to see the show to get that).

After he gave the stay of execution Trump then chummed the waters to lure the other two into a feeding frenzy and the one that defended herself least went home. So lesson two for the night, to keep from being fired throw the other person under the bus early and often.

The Apprentice becomes the master.

The Donald did something quite unexpected and original (at least for him) tonight on the Apprentice. With the most money raised for any regular (non-final) Apprentice event over $300,000 he chose not to fire anyone from either team. He has fired multiple team members in one sitting before, and he has fired two past team leaders after dismal results; but never has he waived his right to let someone off the hook.

What makes this unexpected and uncharacteristic decision of his especially sweet, is that Sharron Osborne's ass was on the line this time. She was project lead for the losing team. I am still not sure how she did not blow the other team out of the water with donations from a line up of Rocks Rich and Famous, but although her team including Bret Michaels they had the more original project, they still came out behind. Donald's reason for holding back from giving one of the celebs the pink slip was due to the total amount. The winners of all this was the charity that the winning project manager Holly Robinson Peete who is playing for Autisum.

I say it again, this show is great leadership training and should be required viewing. And since it is on late prime-time Sundays (9 - 11 P.M. EDT on NBC) I should be allowed to show up to work on Monday's two hours latter...

Speaking of charity fundraising check out a new Blog Live Inspired some good stuff going on over there.

Playlist for Swamp Stomp 1/2

For those that ax'ed...

Thanks to those that recommended. I am posting this because a couple people were curios (since I made a big deal out of making a play list) but also for my own posterity. I added notes on what I remember during each song. This was truly an experience I will carry the rest of my life.

1. Top Gun Anthem (ok me= Brown Shoe, so how can I not start out with this??? gave me a chance to find my stride)

2. Welcome to the Jungle - finally had a good pace, thanks to Gina and really helped, actually the first mile or so was way above my expected pace, and this helped me keep up.

3. Eye of the Tiger - How can you not have this on a running playlist?

4. Dog the Bounty Hunter Theme (Ozzy) - This was supposed to be my signal that I should be starting the second mile, but in reality I was almost at 1 1/2.

5. Enter Sandman (Metallica) - I was beginning to realize how long this run was going to be. This got me to settle into a good pace through mile 2 and into mile 3.

6. Sweet Dreams (Marilyn Manson) - I thought this would help me pull through past the point where I usually start to slow down at mile 3 on any other day. Didn't slow me down but it didn't help with the breathing.

7. Iron Man (Black Sabbath) - We started passing people at this point, definite kick in the butt.

8. Bang Your Head (Quiet Riot) - Going past mile 4 and into 5 this was the right song at the right time.

9. Tainted Love (Marilyn Manson) - When in my car and this song comes on, I hit the volume and jam down on the gas, problem during a run was that there was no gas pedal... The lead runners were coming at us going back to the finish, that was good motivation to keep going.

10. Los (Rammstein) - Kind of a slow but steady beat. Helped me get past my six mile barrier. I haven't ran non-stop past 6 since 2004. James passed us going the other way, about a mile ahead of us.

11. Heaven's on Fire (Kiss) - Coming up on the turnaround and half way. Gina might have looked over and saw a smile on my face, it was not because I was pain free but instead started to go to another place in my head....

12. Hajdemo u Planine (bijelo dugme) - I had to sing along for language maintenance helped me forget for a second where I was

13. I Ain't No Nice Guy (Ozzy and Moterhead) - I came out of a haze and realized I was still running in a forward direction...Good to have Ozzy bring me back, and then look over next to me and see I still had a running partner.

14. Don't Fear the Reaper (Blue Oyster Cult) - Faded again, started looking out into the horizon and saw a time where I was not running, it was a nice vision...

15. Empty Walls - I can honestly say I don't remember this song starting.

16. The Loneliness of a Long Distance Runner (Iron Maiden) - I was about to fade fast, nice song to keep me on my pace.

17. Turbo Lover (Judas Priest) - I think I picked it up here, great song to run to, but I think it took too much out of me, I tried to motion to Gina to go ahead,

18. Lose Yourself (Eminem) - Just about as the first notes of this song hit my ears Gina kicked it in, I might have stayed with her for a little longer, but somehow the misery of Eminem made it ok for me to slow down a little. Passing mile 9 and headed to 10 still had Gina in sight

19. I Stand Alone (Jackyl) - I swear to God I did not plan it this way...but how fitting now that I lost sight of Gina and James was probably a mile from finishing it was all about finishing.

20. Mujeres In the Club (feat 50 cent) - Snapped out of feeling sorry for myself and kicked it up a little, now two days latter my knees are cursing me...

21. Farewell Ride (Beck) - I remember this song starting...

22. Thunderstruck (AC/DC) - I remember this song ending...

23. Run to the Hills (Iron Maiden) - For all I know this got skipped I don't remember it at all

24. Rock Star (Nickel Back) - Snapped me back into reality, nice wake up and got me back in the game, old ladies were starting to pass me up, had to kick it up a little, moved over to the left and started earning my manhood back. At this point math was a little hard for me, and I kept forgetting what the last mile marker past was, but I was sure if James kept up his pace he was done by now so I couldn't let a shipmate down.

25. Doin It (LL Cool J) - why is this on here??? I will tell you why, I thought I would need a little spice and it did help, had a nice day dream for a second.

26. Erotic City (Prince) - what can I say?

27. Get Back (Ludacris) - I actually started dancing a little - I was delirious

28. Bark at the Moon (Ozzy) - I passed marker for mile 12 so I skipped ahead a few songs since I was running a little faster than my anticipated pace. Awesome song to see that finish up ahead.

29. Paranoid (Ozzy) - seeing the finish up ahead and then James and Gina off to the side waiting. I planned on finishing with this song, but it ran out about 200 yards short, but Gina pulled up along side and her voice was better than Ozzy any day (and I don't say that about ANYTHING).

all in all a good run, and I beat what I thought was going to be a 2:20 finish by about 6 min. I need to switch a few of the songs out for the next one, get some that will help me maintain a more consistent pace and day dream a little less.
